"I think the idea of it is Debussy as the Father of Program Music, as we know it in piano music today. Sometimes, today's composers use the idea of layering with lots of pedal like he did. Others pay homage to him in humorous ways, but knowing his overwhelming influence. And some tell short and potent stories, with a few well-placed characters spread out on a multi-level stage."  --Kathy Supove
